A gentler alternative to Tea Tree, Rosalina has a softer aroma due to its high linalool content giving it a more acceptable odor, especially for massage. Commonly known as swamp paperbark, it is native to Australia and grows primarily in coastal regions where it is able to withstand permanently wet soil, salty conditions, and shade. Rosalina oils from the northern part of Australia are linalool-rich, while those from the southern part are cineole-rich. It is said that Rosalina has similar properties to its cousins, Tea Tree and Niaouli, and is excellent for upper respiratory ailments and skin irritations, especially in children.
